LM3D is laser based, non-contact three dimensional scanner profiler for volumetric measurement of dry products in silos and stock piles. The instrumnent features a rotating laser scanning head, which performs multiple points measurement on the scanned, uneven surface. After the scan, a three dimensional image of the measured surface is created and the volume is calculated based on the image. When LM3D does not perform 3D scan, it can work as a single point laser level transmitter. The scan can be initiated on demand or programmed as an automatic function.
